I work for a research group at The University of British of Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. My current role mainly involves developing and testing codes for academic research, including projects on computational materials science.
I have 6+ years of experience in designing software applications for scientific projects, including 1 year in an Agile team. The languages and platforms with which these projects were built include C++11, Java, and Python for machine learning. I also have an intermediate-level familiarity with front-end development, GUI applications designed with QT 5.x, maintenance of PostgreSQL databases, project deployment using Docker containers, game designs in Unity and Unreal engines. You can check out some of my current and previous projects here.
When I am not debugging, I enjoy hiking, travelling, going to musicals, volunteering, and baking indulgent comfort food. These are some of the most valuable memories I have been grateful to be part of.
