I work for a research group at The University of British of Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. My current role mainly involves developing and testing codes for academic research, including projects on computational materials science.
Some of the products that I have developed include Windows GUI applications designed via QT 5.x interface, open-source multi-threaded C++ codes for large-scale numerical simulations, Java web applications built on Spring framework and connected to a relational databases on MySQL, simple games designed in Unity Engine, and network applications built on Python. I have also a basic level familiarity with front-end development, running components in a Hadoop ecosystem and deploying projects using Docker containers. You can check out some of my current and previous projects here.
When I am not debugging, I enjoy hiking, travelling, going to musicals, volunteering, and baking indulgent comfort food. These are some of the most valuable memories I have been grateful to be part of.
